This may or may not be a good thing but when you talk to Josh you can know one thing-- he won't lie to you. This can be good because, well, he wont lie, but can be a bad thing cause he might tell you something you didn't want to hear. So it's "don't ask don't tell" with him. Don't ask him something you know you might not like the answer to but you can rest assured he'll tell you the truth about something you do want to know about.
&loyal.
Despite his very apparent dislike for people in general he can be loyal to those close to him. He wouldn't betray anyone and would basically do just about anything to keep those he actually likes safe and does this job well as the head guard for the Stella Fiore Academy.
&trustworthy.
A more trustworthy person you probably could not find. Whether it's secrets or knowing that this guy wont turn around and stab you in the back for whatever reason, you can safely know that you're more than safe in Joshua's capable hands.
&bold.
Because he's usually so indifferent he's able to stand up to things that most people would probably piss their pants at the thought of. He's not scared of anyone or anything and would take on a grizzly bear if he had the chance.
&humble.
Most people with Josh's skills would be very boastful, but you'd never see that from him. He can be a rude guy but never in the way of gloating about himself or anything he can do. Because of this he can find it hard taking compliments and generally doesn't really like getting them.
&unflinching.
Josh knows how to stick to his guns. While generally stubborn, this can be a good thing, especially considering his job. He can't be bribed with money or glory and would fight anyone who tried to do so. This goes hand-in-hand with being bold and allows him to stand strong in the face of just about anything.

Josh has little to no patience. With anything. Not really a people-person because of this.
&bad temper.
To go along with his lack of patience he has a bad temper, so when he runs out of patience he gets angry and frustrated that he's not getting what he wants. Which is usually being left alone and having some peace.
&stubborn.
Doesn't like listening to people. The only person he really listens to is Oisin, not only because he's his uncle but because he's also his boss. But with anyone else he doesn't listen and doesn't like being given suggestions or getting help.
&very blunt.
Josh can be very blunt and can be very rude about it. This sometimes makes him quite funny because he'll state the obvious in such a tone that you'd think he was joking. But he's not. He's being serious. He isn't afraid of saying anything and wont hold back.
&bitter.
He's a very, very bitter guy. It's obvious in the way he talks sometimes that he's a sour asshole and this tends to get worse if he sees or is talking to one of those richie-rich snobs. He lives a very modest life, and in turn, hates anyone who has it better than him.
&generally not nice.
Because he really doesn't like people he's just not a nice guy and probably wont do anything nice for you. It's a wonder he got talked into becoming Oisin's head guard for the Academy, and while he is interested in keeping the students safe that doesn't mean he wants to talk to them or even look at them.

In contrast to his choppy blonde hair, his eyes are a very pretty purple. While on the job he has on the guard uniform and usually has his uneven hair tied back and looks rather professional. Other than that he doesn't wear anything special and he stands at a non-imposing height of 5'10. But he looks rather intimidating to make up for that and pretty much never smiles.

Josh picked up a heavy Scottish accent from his father since he spent the most time with him growing up. He sounds like Craig Ferguson.

Josh actually hates nicknames, but particularly hates being called Benjie. He makes it clear that nicknames just bother the crap out of him but wont actually make you stop calling him a certain name. His soul just dies a little every time you say a nickname.

When he got to Italy he met his mother's brother, Oisin O'Callaghan and was, somehow, talked into becoming Head Guard for the school he was Headmaster of. It wasn't an easy feat by any means, but eventually he gave into the pestering and took the job and is just looking forward to a life away from his father in a place where he can't understand what the fuck anyone is saying.
