extra info!
"Growing up, I was the only child of the town's odd couple - you know, the one that everyone wonders about just how it works. It's only because of a long and hard labor that I wasn't born in the month I'm named for, something that I definitely think is a blessing in disguise. My mom's a professor of art that comes home covered in paints or pastels just about every day of the week - one of my first memories is of her taking me in to be a model for her students, all draped in fabric to look like a cherub or something like that - and my dad's an accountant that came to Edinboro, Pennsylvania to get away from the Big Apple. For all that they came from different backgrounds, they've never really been the type to argue... so while my peers went through divorces and other such messes, I was helping my parents garden in the backyard. Sadly, the serenity and peace didn't last. You see, my father had taken my mother's name when they married - I know, random right? I chalked it up to it being something Mom convinced him to do as another way of bucking tradition, but it turns out that he was really trying to hide from loan sharks that he had angered in New York City. They managed to track him down, and... well, all the more I'll say about the night I came home from shopping with my friends and found my parents dead was that it tore me up inside. Just who exactly did it is something I'll never know since the police never uncovered any leads - Heck, I'm just guessing at the loan sharks being responsible.
Now, how did I wind up here? It's simple, really; a combination of the life insurance policies they had taken out on each other paying off and me inheriting everything left me with a substantial chunk of money. I chose to go to the Stella Fiore Academy because it's prestigious and all that good stuff, but there's something more important than that to me. There's no memories here, no spots on the floor that are still painted crimson despite being scrubbed clean over and over again. Half a world away from where I grew up, I'm trying to rebuild my life piece-by-piece. I'm sure it won't be easy, but I've already made a lot of progress in that direction."[/ul]
