The white marble loomed over the girl as if to make her cower under it's wrath. That said, it didn't quite work, but it was intimidating all the same. Alexis was used to the grandeur life back at home, but nothing could have prepared her for this. It was so expensive looking, so regal. She certainly would've preferred if she was thrown into a ransack old high school than somewhere lifk this. This would be ten times worse, and no doubt full of snobs. Well, perhaps that was a little harsh, but how could the girl not assume things when she had received a few disgusted glares on the way here? She didn't intend to make herself look so shabby; she just overslept. Patting her flyaway hair self-consciously, Alexis strode forward, trying to emit an air of cleanliness and grandiose.
Though the effect was slightly ruined when she tripped over the top step.
She cleared her throat with an air of importance and kept going, a light blush tickling her cheeks as she heard a few stifled laughs. 'Well, they don't know me', she noted to herself, trying to relieve the embarrassment of the whole situation, 'and I doubt they will anytime soon. I'll just lock myself in my room for the rest of the day.' She let a smile flicker across her face, nodding politely to passers-by who didn't look as imposing as the few girls she had met. They had two things in common, most of them; they were all accompanied by male escorts, strangely. And they were all so beautiful, so graceful, much more so than herself. Her eyes flickered over to steal a glance at her reflection as she made her way through the hallways, following the signs that pointed to the reception, and tucked a chestnut lock of hair behind her ear. Her palms were beginning to feel a tad sweaty, not to mention that large suitcase in her hands was beginning to get a little heavy.
Her father had made her over-pack. Again.
She suddenly felt desperately homesick and paused in her tracks, anxiety making her feel nauseous. It was a bit lame to be longing for home this early, but, honestly. Her father had sent to her off to Italy with barely a moment's notice when she had rarely journeyed out of Ireland in the first place. This was a strange, stately place that made her want to be swallowed up the the ground. The lass shook her head and used a forefinger to place her temporary glasses higher up on her nose, an action she had taken to make herself seem more mature. She smiled lightly as she continued walking, her legs feeling like jelly. If her mother knew that she was here, she'd be calling her non-stop and giving encouraging words. She planned to call her soon, but she was occupied with her family. A scowl crossed her features as she reminisced but was quickly replaced with awe as the narrow (but well-decorated) hallways opened up into a more spacious room. It was empty aside from the red-haired lady sitting at the reception counter with a pleasant smile on her face. An automatic reaction, she smiled back and approached the charming woman.
"Hey there, " She began, faltering for a moment as she lost a bit of confidence in the proud ambiance of the place, " I'm Alexis Connolly. I transferred here." The red-head's eye flashed with recognition and she nodded in a friendly way, reaching down and handing the girl an envelope. "Everything you need is in there, including your room number, your room keys and your class schedule." She smiled sympathetically at the girl, "Though I'm afraid we haven't found you a butler yet." The chestnut haired girl raised a puzzled eyebrow. " Right. Thanks." She replied, dipping her head a the woman and turning with a perplexed frown on her visage. A butler? She certainly hadn't heard of them. Although the word sounded rather familiar. She shook her head, opening the envelope with a nervous glance behind her. The receptionist seemed to be getting ready for a break of sorts. She would've liked some help, but she didn't want to distract the woman. 'Room 47, Linnea Dormitory B.' She repeated to herself, trying to decipher the strange language. It didn't specify if it was a male or female dorm either, and, with a prickling sensation along her back, the girl began to form ideas in her head with a grimace. Not to mention she had no idea where she stood right now, let alone where the dormitories were.[/blockquote] Notes:

Class had ended a few seconds ago and since there is so long of a break in between, Nagi had casually wandered by the main entrance. Wearing her favorite white summer dress (even though it's winter), Nagi walked down the flight of stairs and into the main entrance. The school in itself was a vast place, but even though it's in the dead of the coldest season the building still had its indoor heater so wearing such an outfit can be seen without raised eyebrows. Just a moment ago Cedric had excused himself to do some other stuff he had promised and like always Nagi give her permission. It's not like he's doing something bad. Still, it could get a little lonely without him, so the fifteen year old chose to come down here. On her way she had heard of plenty of gossips mostly from ladies. Their butlers, if they had any, always seem like they didn't want to be there when the higher up started having those kinds of discussions. Chuckling a little inside, Nagi knew a new student must be arriving here. It's always like this, and when she was the new student she could hear some second or third year ladies gossiping about her. They always had a nickname for her though, called The Midget. Sure she's short and tiny, but she is fifteen for heaven's sake! However being the peaceful one Nagi never retorted her feelings at them. And just like that, the gossiping stopped as she soon acquired her butler. Holding up a hand to touch her eye patch, Nagi wandered towards the reception hall. A few students flitted past and some give a 'hi' to her and in return Nagi waved. She wasn't the sort to verbally say hello, and a wave was enough in her opinion.
Suddenly a bored feeling washed over her. Nagi felt as if she wanted to do something else, yet her legs still carried her farther. And that is when she saw someone that caught her attention. The someone stood out from the rest as the person wasn't a butler, but a lady. Yet she wasn't dressed like so(though not like a butler). Her hair is kind of messy, like as if she had just gotten out of bed. And her expression looked kind of lost and confused. Should I talk to her? Nagi wandered, completely stopping in her tracks. For a moment, she had wanted to move along, since it's none of her business. But once she saw a group of ladies passing and smirking at the other girl, Nagi quickly walked over to her, albeit on edge as she's a stranger. "Er...hello there, are you looking for something" Nagi asked politely as possible. The stranger looked a little older then her, and something told Nagi she might make a new friend... Obviously, classes had ended. Self-consciously, she tried to straighten her crumpled checkered shirt, but doing it so as to attract little attention. However, that obviously wasn't possible, and the girl received a few snickers and senselessly loud comments as girls walked by. The lass did try not to react, but the couldn't help the soft blush that tickled across her cheeks. Obviously, life was going to get a bit... difficult, if she didn't try and improve her sense of fashion. She couldn't see how that was plausible, since she hadn't one in the first place. Feigning ignorance, she tucked a stray lock of hair behind one ear and turned her attention back to the map, feeling slightly bitter.
There wasn't a sign in the vicinity, as far as the could see, and she wasn't at all willing to start moving about in case she attracted even more attention. Though having a girl in jeans and a shirt standing in the middle of a hallway full of well-dressed and well-bred wasn't exactly inconspicuous. She even turned the map upside down, in hopes of finding some sort of secret message, although it was unlikely. Not to mention stupid. It was as soon as the lightly scented wind of ladies passed by that she heard a soft voice and turned slowly. A girl stood in front of her, as well-dressed as the other blatantly avoiding them, if not better. There was a curious patch covering her eye and her dark hair contrasted, but nicely, against her pale complexion. Alex breathed a sigh of relief as she was questioned by the other lass, smiling and foregoing her shyness.
"Hiiii~, " She greeted in return, drawing out the sentence into a sigh as she folded her map neatly and placed it back into the envelope. Hopefully this girl would help her. " I'm Alex, nice to meet you. And yeah, unfortunately." She confirmed, wringing her hands together in a sheepish manner. "I'm a bit lost." She informed the pale-skinned girl reluctantly, feeling a bit ashamed of herself. " You wouldn't be able to tell me where -" she struggled to remember the name already, " - Linnea Dormitory B is, would you?" She spoke sanguinely, her voice reverberating of the marbled walls as the hall slowly emptied. " I'm not keeping you away from class, am I?" She questioned, a small frown gracing her features. Even if she wanted help, she was unwilling to have the girl get in trouble for being late. Last time he had done that, the blame was thrown solely on her shoulders. " Ah, by the way!" She exclaimed suddenly, looking at the girl with a perplexed frown on her brow, though her mouth was curved into a smile, " You wouldn't be able to tell me what a 'butler' is, would you? The secretary told me that they haven't found me one..." She trailed off, twirling a strand of chestnut hair in her fingers as she awaited the girl's answer. So far there was one decent stranger in this place, perhaps there would be more.[/blockquote] Notes:

It was very lucky of Nagi to actually run into someone as ordinary as her. For she always seem to be the target of bad with weird or mean ones. But this girl who introduced her as Alexis Connolly wasn't normal either. She wasn't like the other ladies, who always hold an air of importance in them. In fact, this girl seem like the I-don't-care- sort. However she may be wrong, because you can never judge a book by its cover. Yet Nagi could not help feel a little at ease now, since Alexis didn't turn a face at her, the sort that seem to mock her from their facial expressions. Maybe they can really get to know each other, as Nagi isn't normal herself. She wouldn't dwell too much on it as she hates remembering her past just as much as meeting new people.
"M-my name is Nagi Kobayashi, and the dorm is upstairs. All of them are." Nagi paused and quickly gathered a few breathes. She must not mess up, especially when she is standing in front of a new student. As one whom is here longer, Nagi must show her knowledge of Stella Fiore's school complex. Though even some of the rooms in this giant building is unknown to her, and as of yet Nagi still could not find a shortcut to all her classes. "And no, I'm actually taking a break. And..." She tilted her head a little to the side. Had she asked what is a butler? How could she not know? "A butler is a person whom accompanies you to classes and attends to all your needs. They even stay at the same dorm as you." Nagi thinks she might have met just as a clueless girl as herself. words: 298~FAIL template: Me tagged: Cres comments: Epic muse lost~

Such strange names; not bad at all, per say, but still very strange. She had trouble pronouncing it; the foreign spelling was like pebble in her tongue. Somewhat oriental. She cleared her throat quietly and smiled at the girl, eyes crinkling. She had to at least try to make a good impression, yes? Making fun of the girl's name wasn't something that would get her in Nagi's good books. She dipped her head in acknowledgment, having already said her introductions.
At the other girl's direction, chestnut orbs scanned the are alertly, taking in the staircase with a gulp. Even the carpet looked more expensive than her clothes. She certainly wasn't poor, but her father had put all of her savings in a trust fund, so, at home, she had been living on her small allowance. 'To get you used to living on measly funds' he had told her, though she scarecly believed it. It hurt to think of it, but her father just didn't trust her enough with money to allow her free control over her account.
She blinked out of her reverie as the girl spoke again, a frown once more etched on her brow as Nagi explained to her what a butler was. How could she not have known? She certainly hadn't read about it, and neither had her father, it seemed. If she even breathed a word about a person, and a boy, no less, who accompanied her everywhere, and even slept in the same dorm, she'd be out of this place before she could say the word 'butler'. She coughed sheepishly, muttering a thanks to the fair lady with a small bow. Once again, she patted her hair self-consciously, making a strict note to herself to dress in a more proper manner. She turned toward the girl again, smiling in a sheepish come nervous manner.
"Uhm... Do you think you could come with me? I could use a bit of help." She grinned, her slight Irish lilt accenting her voice. She knew almost instinctively that she could make a good friend in this girl, and she wasn't going to pass up that chance. She needed someone who could help her around this godforsaken school. Notes:

Did Nagi go up to the right person? Because now her feeling about Alexis is going from fine to a little suspicious. She seem so...tomboyish. Well, not like Nagi hates tomboys. It's just, they are very rough, well not as rough as a particular someone. And Alexis seem to have a habit of patting her head. Maybe she's nervous? Because if she is, then the feeling Nagi got would be misinterpreted again. Nagi could definitely understand why. But will she be of any use? She can barely look Alexis in the eye without panicking. In truth she does not want the new girl to find her weird. Also, the fact that Alexis does not know that the first thing she'll get is a butler. Which means she will need some advice on that. There are some girls, who despite liking boys, can seem nervous or even scared of just thinking of staying in the same dorm as a boy. Of course Nagi isn't a boy expert, she can only tell her that butlers wouldn't do anything lecherous or just plain stupid. Shaking her head inwardly (a habit), Nagi ruled out the fact Alexis is a worrier.
Now Alexis had asked her to show her around. Nagi wasn't sure if she could say yes, but she did came here to help, but then again Cedric would be wandering where she is. Well then, it would seem he had to wait. Nagi would need to map out where she should show the new girl; like all the classrooms, the stable, the dorms, and maybe the place where they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Now that Nagi seem assured Alexis is not the mean sort, she could pretty much freely talk. Though now Nagi does not feel like doing anything as a wave of laziness washed over her. Mentally noting not to get lazy all of a sudden, she then said,"Yeah, sure, I'll show you all the important places first okay?"
