------------------------------------------------- When you fall on your knees and you just can't seem to get up------------------------------------------------- Xena managed to trace her steps back, and sooner than she thought, she had found Masaaki. It was interesting to her that whenever she was in dire need to help another person, she somehow found her butler within minutes compared to the situation from earlier. Still, she brushed this thought as she rushed to him, keeping the bird cupped securely in her hands. The more she had looked at it, the more sympathetic she felt toward it. Even though she can’t really fly, considering that she was only human, she knew the very idea of not being able to do anything due to some injury. She stopped right in front of her butler, opening her hands to show him the animal.
”Masaaki, I couldn’t keep the poor thing to be left alone, unable to fend on its own. We are going to take care of it, right?” Despite her knowing that she’ll have to end up taking it home with her, Xena just had to ask her butler. After all, he was like her partner when taking care of an animal, or so she considered him one. It wasn’t the first that this had happened, but she would have to keep quiet so it would heal in peace. Not that it bothered her since the bird wasn’t in any need of excessive attention right now. She murmured something softly to the mammal, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Just a few weeks, and she’ll let it fly back to its own home, the Earth. As sad as she would be at its departure, Xena knew that in the future, when it was time, she had to wave good bye to the little mammal and hope that it would survive again. Still, nothing else gave her more joy than to see herself succeeding in nursing it back to normal.
”So, could we?” she asked eagerly, hoping that he wouldn’t mind so much.

Where do I head to as I repeat the many Ceaseless encounters and partings? ----------------------------------- From what he remembered, the whole point of hide and seek was to make sure that the one that is it not able to find you. And yet, moments after she had left his side to go on hiding somewhere in the garden, she suddenly calls out to him? It was a strange twist of event really, the male not really sure why she would reveal herself, yet a little thankful they would not need to push through with this little game. Still, the question now was why she needed him to be by her side, as if something urgent had happened. It worried him quite a bit, his pace quickening to find her as soon as possible. Luckily for him, Masaaki did not need to move that far, meeting up with his lady Xena after taking a few more steps. She seemed alright though, yet he noticed that she was holding something in her hand.
“Hm? What wrong?” he said as he moved in closer, later noticing what she was carefully holding onto. It was a tiny little avian animal, though one that seemed injured on one wing. It was a poor sight, one of which that he himself could not resist pitying, for he believed birds were one of the luckiest creature in the world. In all honesty, he was always so fascinated with them, envying their ability to fly in the sky, which had always been a personal dream of his. But right now, that little bird was just like him, confined to the ground instead of being able to soar high into the sky. It was like it was representing him right now, a person who still has yet to spread his wings. His eyes shifted back to his lady, seeing that very look in her eyes as if telling him what she exactly wanted. It was funny though since she did not need his consent for something like this, but it was nice that she still asked.
A smile curled on his lips, Masaaki extending his hand while patting the young woman’s head lightly. Seriously, how could he say no to a face like that? There was no way he would go against her wishes, especially if it was as noble as this one. His head nodded once, signaling that he was all for it. Like her, there was no way he was going to let that bird die. Still, he did have some terms, she needed to follow. “It’s fine, but you have to take responsibility for it. I can care of it at times you can’t, but you are the main caregiver of this little one. As long as you promise to care for it until its wing is better, then I have no objection.” ----------------------------------- Please just leave behind your Footprints in the changing world.

------------------------------------------------- Fly with the wind Fly high to your desires------------------------------------------------- "Hai!" Xena cried out with happiness. She carefully placed the bird in a safe location before she rushed over to hug her butler. But as soon as she even managed to wrap her arms around him, she quickly pulled away. She didn't mind so much of doing those actions, but she knew better than to express it in public where they could be seen by anyone. With a shy smile and a blush, she mumbled, "Sorry."
Xena turned her focus back onto the little creature, her thoughts slowly fading away as she held the animal back in her hands. She stared with a soft jealousy at the small mammal, wishing that her only limit was the sky. There was always an invisible wall that she stared at with all her hopes would disappear. Maybe it would eventually, but for now, it remains its place, doing its duty to keep her there.
Still, she began to walk back to Masaaki, letting the silence drift a little longer. As she got closer, Xena began to focus more on happy thoughts. "Let's go!" She exclaimed. The bird let out a chirp as if it was in agreement, and she laughed brightly. Such an adorable bird it was, the girl thought as she began to walk.
