don't wanna kiss, don't wanna TOUCH.{just smoke my cigarette and hush.} Cordelia wasn't at The Duomo because she was religious. She was, however, a fan of beauty, and she'd found out in her seventeen years that churches were beautiful. After admiring it for awhile, she'd gone exploring and had found her way to the rooftop. It was here that she hid herself and lit up a cigarette. It was neatly fitted into a long cigarette holder, very befitting of her class, and she took a long drag before staring out at the city. It too was beautiful from where she stood. She couldn't notice it from the ground, there were sleazy men and people yelling and all together making too much noise. But here it was quiet. Taking another drag, she walked closer to the ledge, though it of course wasn't as if she could jump. One, she had no intention of offing herself, and second, a stone wall that reached her ribcage would stop her.
She leaned her elbows down on it, looking down at all of the people below her. 'That's where they should be...below me,' she thought with a cocky smirk. Cordelia did think of some as her equals, but not many. She was a gorgeous girl, and I mean gorgeous. The kind where a man could walk right into a telephone pole because he couldn't stop staring. And she had charm and grace to match. Though she did have a temper, a violent one at that, she usually kept it in check. Usually. But since everyone at one point succeeded in pissing her off, most people who she gave the time of day to have seen this side of her.
Cordelia also realized, in passing of course, that smoking here might be considered sinful. She justified it though by deciding that since she wasn't inside it wasn't hurting anyone. And there was no way she would apologize even if she was caught. The girl somewhat wished she would get caught. Since she'd started at Stella Fiore, she hadn't made many friends. Perhaps it was more her fault though, then theirs. Maybe.

While the Organ Plays "I Love You Truly" It was stupid to be afraid of churches. A cathedral is a symbol of purity, of devotion, of faith. Still, he couldn't get past the thought of being scolded or sent to the corner every time he passed one. Despite not following any doctrine the church taught, his parents had been adamant about going when he was a child. They had been hard on him at Sunday school. He was always getting slapped on the hand, always kicked out of group activities, always told he was a spoiled brat. It had been years since then, but his self-esteem still suffered. But he knew that at The Duomo he was unknown, and no one would treat him as anything more than a guest. He needed a quiet place to stay for a while, and it was the best place he could find within comfortable walking distance. Anansi had slipped past the straggling few who lingered around the pews and made his way to the roof. There he would be alone, and no one could see him. He tried to walk as normally as he could, hiding the bulge in the front of his jacket. He stepped out of the elevator carefully, keeping an eye on his black jacket. The boy took a quick glance around the rooftop in search of a good place to stop and sit. There was a person there. He gripped tighter at his coat and winced. She wasn't looking at him, maybe she wouldn't notice him. But then, it would be odd not to at the very least mention he was up on the roof with her. He couldn't quite tell how old she was from where he stood, but she looked to be young. Anansi went to the stone ledge, keeping enough distance from her so as not to gain the reputation of a predator. He took a hurried look at her before speaking, in case there was some obvious physical sign that she was not to be bothered. She didn't actually look like she was up for a friendly conversation, but that wasn't what bothered him. She was astounding. He'd get smacked if he said aloud what he thought of her, but he couldn't imagine anyone that wouldn't be a little dumbstruck by her appearance. He wasn't as perverted or sexual as men are often made out to be, but she was obscenely attractive. Great. He'd have preferred her to have been obviously homicidal to attractive. If he said something idiotic to a murderer he'd be offed and that would be the end of it. If he said something idiotic to her, she probably wouldn't let him live it down. Oh, but he didn't know her, perhaps she was a forgiving soul. He gave her a short nod to let her know he noticed her existence, then tried to focus on other things. He took a step away from her, leaning down in time to avoid a thin stream of smoke as he did so. Anansi opened his jacket slowly to let the bird he stole earlier finally breathe again. He pressed it tightly against his chest so it wouldn't escape, but not enough to harm the thing. He had found the baby in his yard earlier, but there was no way he'd be allowed to keep it at his house. It was a little embarrassing to do it up here now that he wasn't alone, but since the dark-haired girl seemed to be pre-occupied, perhaps she'd leave him be. don't wanna kiss, don't wanna TOUCH.{just smoke my cigarette and hush.} She wanted to pretend that she couldn't sense someone else there, not to mention she heart the door open and close for a second time, and she wasn't even near it. Cordelia didn't break her focus from the city however, until he came within viewing distance. Without turning her head, her eyes moved to view him. Dark hair, not half bad looking. She supposed she didn't mind him being there. He was staring, but it wasn't as if it was the first time. Cordelia was used to this sort of thing. She half smiled, unbothered by his admiration. Then again, what girl would be bothered by being admired?
She heard him open his jacket as she inhaled her cigarette, and it made her glance over agan. However, she couldn't see what was inside. "I wonder why he came up here?" Cordelia didn't truly care for his reason, it was more of a passing thought. She cared too much about herself to worry about it. The thing was, she got smothered with attention her entire life. Men wanted her, women wanted to be just like her. Even her family showered her with compliments from the day she was born. She'd escaped that somewhat after coming here, but they still sent her gifts of course. She was Daddy's little girl, and Mommy's princess. That wasn't likely to change anytime soon, and in no time she'd be taking over for her father.
As the boy kept his eyes on her, she finally finished her smoke and turned to face him fully. She wore a black velvet dress that was probably too short and way too low cut. "So are you going to introduce yourself, or just keep gawking?" She smirked. Her voice wasn't too high, it was more...sultry. And her expression wasn't hostile to this newcomer for once. It was pleasant, because honestly the less he knew of her true personality the better.

Let's Get These Teen Hearts He watched as the tiny bird blinked, although it still seemed too frightened to poke its head out of his jacket so it remained concealed. He smiled at the little thing, then shot a quick glance at the girl standing nearby. It was truly innocent, a mere twitch of the eye, and yet the one time he wasn't staring her down he was accused of being disgusting. Life really wasn't fair. Her words were sudden and alarmed him, despite the excessively calm tone of her voice. Her words slipped from her lips and streamed out in much the same way as the smoke had before she finished her cigarette. She didn't actually seem to be mad at him, in fact, she seemed almost amused. This only embarrassed Anansi even more. The boy blushed so that his cheeks turned a bright red, and he was unable to come up with a proper comeback. Worse of all, he also lost his ability to sit. He became rather flustered, and accidentally pressed too tightly on his jacket. "I eh...I wasn't.." He tried to defend himself, but he was interrupted by the bird that was getting squished. The baby bird panicked and tried to wiggle away, extending its wings in an attempt to gain freedom. "Ah!" Anansi lurched forward as the little brown thing made its escape. It hopped out from his jacket and onto the stone roof of the church. The boy quickly reached out and snatched the bird before it could reach the edge of the building. There was a railing that would prevent a human from falling off, but he wouldn't put anything past the hatchling and he didn't want to watch it try to start flying too early. He held it close to his chest as he got up on his feet again. He turned toward the ruby-eyed girl, slightly out of breath. Anansi was now thoroughly embarrassed, but he couldn't just ignore her. "Uh, yeah, about that introduction..." he started, still blushing. "I'm Anansi Reznikov, A level butler." He took a moment to catch his breath before continuing. "I found this in my yard this morning, I was sort of hoping I could take care of it until it's well enough to live on its own. I don't think it has parents anymore." That, or really crappy ones. The poor thing had been laying limp on the ground but no one had come to save it. He tried to look up at the girl, but the paleness of her chest and neck in contrast to her deep ebony dress drew his attention. His eyes turned downward, if only for a second, and he was immediately ashamed and embarrassed all over again. Sure, it wasn't his fault that her dress did little to cover her body, but that didn't make it ok to look. He honestly wasn't trying to be a pervert, but she probably wouldn't believe him. Anansi quickly looked away down at the city below. "And you are-?" he asked, turning once again to face her, but this time with no difficulty actually meeting her eyes like any normal person. Beating faster, faster

don't wanna kiss, don't wanna TOUCH.{just smoke my cigarette and hush.} Cordelia noticed the boy smile down at whatever was in his jacket. Maybe it was something precious, or perhaps he was about to shoot up. She wasn't sure, but whatever it was, the amusement did remain on her face. She tucked her cigarette holder back into her purse, some designer thing her father spent who knew how much on. Truth be told, she didn't pay attention to such things, but it was nice to be able to have things as such. It meant she always had the best, and looked the best.
The girl couldn't help but smirk as the young man's face turned a deep shade of red. Cordelia seemed to have that effect on people. Either that or she scared the living shit out of them. As he squirmed, she only had a moment to see what had escaped his jacket. A tiny bird, which the boy had the chance to grasp before it fell off of the church's roof. One brow raised, she looked toward the small creature, then back at the boy. His eyes were now on hers, his chest seemingly rising and falling rapidly. Perhaps she should have helped or something, but like hell she was getting bird crap on her dress.
He introduced himself, Anansi was his name. He was only a Level A, but at least he showed compassion toward living things. She just hoped his lady recieved the same kind of care. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Cordelia Christiana, third year. That was awfully sweet of you, helping the poor thing." She half smiled, her eyes flashing once more with amusement- or excitement- when she caught him staring at her pale cleavage. For once, she didn't point it out. Anansi seeemed embarrassed enough, Cordelia decided not to make it worse. She'd just pretend it didn't happen, like she usually did.
