[/color] Loyal; Betrayal is a rotten feeling, and Zephyr knows this. As a result, he is fiercely loyal to those he is close to: his group, friends, and other such people. Because of this, he is also rather stubborn in beliefs; he only acts on what he thinks would be best for those he’s loyal to. If he were to betray someone, he would feel as though he were betraying himself.

POSITIVE TRAITS
& Ambitious; Though he's terribly confused as to where he's going in life, Zeph is incredibly dedicated to whatever he sets his mind to. He doesn't start a task without finishing it, and will always aim towards his goal no matter the cost. Unfortunately, this also tends to get him into some rather sticky situation, and most of the time he doesn't understand how he got there in the first place.
& Optimistic; Looking at the bright side of things is always something to be considered a talent. Though at times he may be a bit overly optimistic, Zeph is always one of those people who looks at the glass as half full. Sure, he still gets upset just like everyone else, but because of his optimism, those times are fewer. It takes quite a grim looking situation to turn his optimism around into an even slightly more reasonable outlook.
& Humble/Modest; Zepyranth doesn't like to gloat, nor does he like to put others down. He attributes all of his achievements and abilities towards his whole group, not just toward himself. At times, his modesty can be a little too much to handle, but even if he were given a medal something, he couldn't possibly accept it. Unless, of course, declining would injure the other person's feelings.
& Kind; Despite his rough childhood, one thing Zeph would never consider doing is hurting someone intentionally. At times, when his job calls for it, he'll make an exception, but when not in 'kill mode', as he calls it, he's actually extremely soft-hearted. It's difficult for him to find negativity in most people, even if they insult him.
& Patient; Time has never proven to be an issue for Zephyr. He may have deadlines on assignments or need to get to a certain place on time, but he never feels rushed. He's found that, if one frets about time, they only seem to have less of it. It's hard to wear his patience with people and other things thin, even if he's left waiting for hours on end at a rendevouz. Normally, he just accepts the first explanation they come up with.
& Creative; When in an occupation like Zeph's, it's quite common for one to lose their ability to feel. Luckily for him, though, he channels what happens on assignments through other things, such as writing or drawing. Though his imagination runs wild at times, he's always elated when he's able to use it, especially when it's to help other people.
& Intelligent; Many think that Zephy isn't the brightest of a people and, in retrospect, they would be right. He really doesn't seem that smart, but the truth it, he's quite intelligent. His thoughts are as quick as his reflexes, and he's extremely capable of passing his classes. When one considers it, isn't it almost necessary for the head of a group such as his to be remotely intelligent?

NEGATIVE TRAITS
& Gullible; It's quite shocking that, even with such a deadly job, Zeph is also easy to influence. He believes most of the things people say, even some of the more outrageous things. What he believes is fact and what he believes is fiction is easily changed by the confident murmur of another. This trait, though, doesn't stop him from trying to learn as much as he can. All that could be considered wrong with it is that it only manages to add that much more effort into finding the truth.
& Protective; Hand in hand with his loyalty comes Zephyr's tendency to be a tad bit protective of those he's close too. If it makes them unhappy, he'll gladly give them space, but unfortunately for most of his belongings, they couldn't speak out for themselves. As carefree as he is with giving things to others to make them happy, there are those few things that he was ridiculously possessive over. Usually, though, these are only things or people he's known for quite awhile and will go out of the way to protect. Sometimes, he'll even go against what makes someone happy if he believes they're going to be harmed because of it.
& Naïve; As easy as it is to influence Zeph, he's quite clueless. He's oblivious to the way other people think, and to how things work. Sometimes, he'll make a mistake doing something just because he doesn't understand the way it's supposed to be run. Of course, it's quite easy to say he's not as naive towards the shadows of the world's mechanisms, though he does try to block these out sometimes. But there are those things he doesn't understand anything about, usually having to do with what he's supposed to be learning in health class, the one class he doesn't see the point in going to.
& Forgetful; Everyone has those moments; the kind where they place something in a certain area or hear something and can't seem to remember what or where it was. The problem is that Zeph has many of these moments. He's constantly forgetting things, some of which are important while others are completely meaningless. Forgetting the important things, though, gets him into a great deal of trouble. One thing he never seems able to remember, though, is how to work a computer or any other type of technology.
& Empathetic/Apathetic; Now, don't go tying your brain in a knot trying to understand this one. It's quite simple really; at times, Zeph is much too empathetic for his own good, while at others he's startlingly apathetic. This only makes sense when one takes into consideration that Zeph comes terribly close to having two personalities. There is his usual one, the happy and sensitive one, and then there is the one he had whenever he's on a job. This one is where the apathy comes in; he doesn't care what others feel and is often stoic and deadly precise.
& Short Attention Span; The inability to focus on one thing for a long period of time is quite common. Zeph's attention span is usually comparable to that of a puppy, matching his demeanor. When he really tries, he can get himself to focus on something longer, but he tends to find himself flittering from one thoughts to another against his will. Sometimes he spends a bit of his time trying to imrpove his focus but, ironically, he can't concentrate on it.
& Psychopathic; Something no one would ever think to be true about Zephyr is that he truly is a psycopath. Though most never see this side of him, it's definitely there lurking. Any who do see it are either in his group or six feet under. Yes, this side of Zeph only ever seems to emerge when he's on an assignment and doesn't go away until afterwards. He's never been diagnosed, considering that he's not about to go near a doctor while on a mission, but this highly secret side is still there.

PERSONAL ITEMS
& Old blanket; almost the only thing he kept from his childhood, it brings back memories. Though they may not be good memories, he likes to keep it as the only thing that’s been there for him his whole life. The moth-eaten, faded green blanket is always on his bed, at least until he rolls off of said furniture with it in hand.
& Threadbare scarf; nearly as ancient as his blanket, he finds a lot of joy in his scarf. The item itself is nearly twice as long as its owner, and has kept him and his mafia family warm on quite a few occasions. The blue and white scarf is wrapped around one of his bedposts to keep it safe.
& Assignment notebook; though more recently obtained than the other items, he is almost as attached to this notebook. Not only does it contain details of each of his jobs, which he can’t allow other people to find, but at one point when he was bored he also drew a ‘family tree’ for the group on the back cover. This one is kept on his person, usually in a book bag of sorts, at all times.

EXTRA INFORMATION
& La Morte - A strange group indeed, La Morte is an assassination squad that works mainly within the bonds of the mafia. They aren't affiliated with any specific family, and will only work for those who can prove the necessity of their assistance. The members consist of some rather abnormal people, though their talents include such things as disguise, persuasion, analytical thinking, and, of course, killing. The people themselves, however, range from being completely stoic to bouncy and energetic. But none of them are to be taken lightly; the equation eventually equals something extremely deadly. One of Zephyr's main talents is being able to tell whether someone will be good for the foundation of the group or not.
Selection for La Morte is harsh and extremely rare. The group itself is small, which only results in even more of a tight-knit family-like feel once someone actually gets in. Training, though, is extremely rigorous. No matter how close you are to the head, he won't take things easy on you. As he puts it, one mistake could lead to death, and maybe not at the hands of an enemy. You see, because La Morte is such a secret, failure could mean exposure, and it's not something they can risk. It's one of the reasons it's difficult being unaffiliated with any specific mafioso; they don't recieve protections from anyone. The people in the group have to be good at what they do, especially when second chances are so hard to come across.
There is really no specific standing in the group. The previous head before Zeph had levels one had to work through, but he disposed of the system once he reached the top. He's considered the head, and makes all the decisions because of his experiences, but the others are always considered equal among themselves. It's remarkably well worked-out, though there's always those who try to stick to old traditions. [/ul]
