( I OPEN THE WINDOW ) to those people and places ( I CAN NEVER GO TO )• • • • • • • • • He had called in sick today, which was strange of the blonde, of course unless he really was sick. That only seemed to be half true and half of the reason why he stayed home today though. Snuggling up beneath the cozy blue cover his mother made by hand, Audrey buried his unusually pale features into the arm of the sofa. The television a few feet ahead was doing little to console him—probably because he wasn't watching a Disney movie; those always managed to cheer people up. Releasing a sigh, he felt another wave of tears sting the back of his puffy, reddened eyes and shut them tighter.
He really wished this feeling of dread and loneliness would disappear. It only made his throat and stomach hurt worse, having emptied its contents about half an hour ago. I don't really get sick so why am I puking all of a sudden? Hopefully he wouldn't again, and hopefully it was something that would pass in a matter of a day. Bright blue eyes opened a bit reluctantly, the usual warmth and cheeriness in them faded into an almost blank expression. A fragile hand rested on his stomach as it rumbled softly. It really would be nice to have someone else around here... He'd been thinking that for about a year now, specifically after his mother suddenly stopped caring for him, but at least she sent him off with enough money to start.
Audrey shifted and rested on his back to make it easier to stand, but it didn't seem like he'd be getting up anytime soon. Another grumble from his stomach encouraged him to head to the kitchen but a knock at the door caught him off-guard. Confused, the blonde pulled himself up into a sitting position, body exhausted. Who could that be? It was rare to get a visitor so was it important? He contemplated on answering, getting to his feet in the process since he'd need to fetch food anyway, and decided it wouldn't hurt too much to see who it was.
It was a relief to find his friend on the other side. “Kuma.” Audrey's features immediately brightened some, his true condition still visible from the pale skin to the red, irritated eyes. Before he could stop himself, Audrey pulled the other into a warm embrace and shuddered at the outside temperature. “It's been a long time. I missed you.” Pulling away, he opened the door further so Kuma could enter. “Come on in where it's warm.”

DO YOU EVER FEEL SCARED? LIKE NOBODY CARES... JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED... AND I'LL BE THERE- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - He bit his bottom lip… a bit nervous that his friend, Audrey wouldn’t really remember him. Of course, maybe it was just him over-reacting, but he couldn’t help but be worried. He scratched the back of his head as he walked closer and closer towards Audrey’s apartment. Charlie and Bob slipped off again, but Flash was at his heels as always. He suddenly paused… feeling Flash bump into him, he glanced down at the guy. Flash gave him a worried look, but Kuma just grinned. He’s a good dog… that’s for sure. Kuma relaxed a bit and rubbed Flash’s head – or pretty much the air where his head so called is. A few people glanced over at him with a weird look, but he didn’t pay much attention to them. “Alright~!” he cheered as if finally deciding to go ahead and invade poor Audrey’s home.
Blinking for another moment at Flash’s slightly confused look, he grinned again and started his march towards the apartment. Climbing up to the second floor, he glanced at each room number just to make sure he didn’t pass Audrey’s place on accident. He knew the number of the place well. That really could be counted as weird, but Kuma made a vow pretty much not to forget his friends’ addresses. Though… that really was just an odd habit of his. Scratching the back of his head again, he stopped at Audrey’s door and waited a moment. Finally wondering if he was at work or busy or something… he had just come here unannounced. Taking in a positive deep breath, he rose his hand up and knocked on the door.
It really didn’t take very long at all when Audrey answered the door. Kuma grinned when he spoke his name and nodded. Though, his eyes widened when he pulled Kuma into an embrace instead of the other way around. He stood there dumbfounded for a few moments before relaxing and hugging him back. It made him feel… loved really. His grin softened into an actual smile as he pulled away. Nodding to Audrey, he walked into the apartment only to glance back at the guy. His eyes were all red and… well, he didn’t look like the usual Audrey. Worried, he tilted his head to the side with a questioning look. “Are you okay…? Did something happen?”

( I OPEN THE WINDOW ) to those people and places ( I CAN NEVER GO TO )• • • • • • • • • Once the other headed inside, Audrey went to shut the door and lock it after him. He turned to face Kuma just as he questioned his condition, noticing the blatant look of concern on his features and a sad smile tugged at his lips. Well he couldn't say he wasn't expecting it, Audrey figured he looked as terrible as he felt. What to tell Kuma though? He knew he shouldn't lie. It was already very obvious he wasn't well, but he also didn't want to worry the other blonde. And it would only hurt worse if he didn't tell someone.
“My stomach isn't agreeing with me today is all,” he replied with a reassuring smile, albeit a faint one. He started carefully over to the couch again, gently taking a hold on Kuma's hand to tug him along. He pushed the blanket over to the other side of the sofa and sat, still holding onto his hand if he sat with him or not. “And I-I...” Audrey couldn't help but avoid eye contact then, looking to Kuma's cheek or nose or anywhere else; it didn't matter because he wasn't focused at all. “I'm so lonely.” He hated to admit it. He sounded weak.
“I-I mean, I always am and I kind of always have been, b-but... it's r-really starting to bother me now...” His vision became clouded by tears and he tried his hardest to keep them from spilling. He smiled weakly and shook his head. “I'm sorry, Kuma. I needed to tell someone.” His fingers tightened slightly around his friend's. He just really hoped he didn't put Kuma down in the dumps with him. Looking down, his tears were hot against his cheeks as they finally escaped.
