I could be mean, I could be angry You know, I could be just like you
The past two days had been nothing but a piece of heaven on earth; Kyou couldn't recall ever feeling so good. Since coming back to Milan and finding Audrey, though unexpectedly, he'd spent as much time as humanly possible with his blonde-headed friend. The first day they'd spent a good majority of the time walking and chatting, catching up and just generally bonding. It continued on the next day when Kyou had invited his friend over to spend the day as his home. He couldn't remember the last time he'd had anyone over... which made sense since he'd never done it before.
Times were changing. Definitely for the better. If you'd dare to go as far as saying, you could say Kyou was absolutely giddy with joy about how things were going.
Though he acted completely casual; he was far too manly to actually act 'giddy' and wouldn't stoop to that. He was excited when Audrey spent the night and the two fell asleep in his bed; Kyou had never slept so well in his life. It was like his insomnia had been cured, or maybe he was just so tired from all that was taking place. Either way, he slept like a baby.
The next morning the brunette woke up bright and early. Mostly because he heard clawing and whining outside the bedroom door. He got up as careful and delicately as he could, trying not to wake his companion. He quietly opened the door and shooed away his young wolfdog and excited germam shepard-retriever mix away from the door and headed downstairs to let them outside. After checking to make sure his puppy didn't leave him any nasty surprises on the floor somewhere he went back upstairs and headed into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

The blonde hadn't slept so peacefully in so long. He couldn't remember how much easier it was to fall asleep cuddled up to a warm body. Eyes still shut in a light slumber, Audrey shifted when the mattress moved and the warmth left. Gradually he woke to consciousness, bright blue eyes fluttering open and staring blearily at the creases of the sheets, where Kyou laid just minutes ago. The sound of running water reached the boy's ears before his mind began to wonder, of the miserable months without Kyou and the amazing days recently with him.
A smile unknowingly crossed his lips as his thoughts roamed, but suddenly Audrey rolled onto his stomach and buried his face into a very soft pillow. Inhaling Kyou's delicious scent, the boy almost grew lightheaded. The shower stopped and he came back to his senses, pulling himself up into a sitting position and eager to greet the man when he came out. Audrey raised his arms above his head to stretch, feeling the large long-sleeve he wore ride up slightly. Screw his own clothes. He'd gone and put on one of Kyou's shirts last night which were very comfy by the way.
A wave of laziness overcame him suddenly and Audrey found himself lying back down, facing the door to the bathroom this time though. Oh boy, it was gonna be one of those lazy days. Now he really wouldn't want to leave later.

Kyou didn't take a very long shower and just after Audrey woke up and began moving around in the bed he was out and quietly fumbling around in the bathroom. That was refreshing and quickly woke him up; he heard his dogs barking in the back yard to be let back in but they'd have to wait. He slipped on a clean pair of jeans but had neglected to get himself a clean shirt. He'd get one in a moment; he figured Audrey was still asleep. Not that he particularly cared if he saw him shirtless, he'd already seen that once. Or maybe he did care, if only because of the fact that he had those unseen wounds that he'd tried to keep hidden from his young friend.
He took the time to re bandage the more serious wounds, put new bandaids on the cuts on his fingers, yadda yadda. He took care of himself the best he could and grabbed his towel and threw it around his shoulders to continue drying his scruffy hair. He opened the door and headed out, spotting Audrey, awake, lazily laying on the bed. And he prayed that he wouldn't take notice to his freshly bandaged side and shoulder. Maybe being shirtless would fluster him and make him not notice. Yea, right. "Mornin'," he said casually, wiping away his slight surprise.
"Sleep well?" he asked with a small smile, continuing to dry his hair before letting the damp towel drape over his shoulders. He looked so cute laying there with that oversized shirt of his on. You know, most guys thought it was cute when their "partners" wore their clothes that were obviously too big for them to wear, but that mostly applied to straight men with girlfriends. But it applied to Kyou at this moment.

When the door opened and Kyou stepped out, the blonde pulled himself up lazily. A big smile formed on his lips as he was greeted with a good morning, and he would've responded but his big, blue eyes immediately caught sight of the very enticing flesh of Kyou's chest. Was it bad he thought the scars made him look even hotter? Pink tinted his cheeks at the thought and his gaze briefly shifted elsewhere. “I did, actually. Really good. But then you left...” His voice trailed off into a softer tone before he looked back to the brunette, expression suddenly timid.
It was then he realized the bandages on Kyou's side, a brief flash of worry in his eyes. The only bad injury he'd seen recently was the very obvious one on his cheek but that was healing. Audrey forgot about the rest of his body. Getting up from the bed, he walked the short distance to the other and lightly pressed a hand to the bandage on his side to express his worry, instead of speaking of it. “What about you? I might've cuddled too much in my sleep, so hopefully I didn't wake you a lot?” His smile, lighthearted as ever, returned, especially as he reached up on his toes to press a quick kiss on the other's lips.
He'd been told before that he slept like a child way too attached to their mother; wherever there was warmth he was right there beside it, but he couldn't help it. It wasn't very often at all that he slept with someone and when he did, his conscience made it obvious he loved the company, even in his sleep.

Well that just made him feel bad for getting up in the first place. But he couldn't just let his dogs poop in the house or whatever. Speaking of which they continued to bark and woof in the back yard, demanding to be let back into the house. But he was busy and they could wait longer. He smiled and chuckled some when Audrey's face lit up and he looked away; he couldn't have been more endearing if he tried. "Sorry," he managed just as Audrey looked and noticed the other wounds he had... but he didn't react the way he'd been expecting him to. He got up and came over to him and gently touched the healing wound on his side. And he didn't say anything about it. Which was good, it helped him relax since he didn't outright express his worry as he usually did.
"I slept just fine. I didn't wake up till just a while ago because of the dogs," he responded coolly, figuring he didn't need to mention that he was actually an insomniac who rarely slept at all. He was sort of scared to see if he'd be able to sleep after Audrey left or not... he was betting his money that he wouldn't be able to. Kyou was definitely a little surprised when the blonde boy stood on his toes to give him a quick kiss. And to his own surprise, he leaned down to continue it and brought up a hand to lightly caress his rosy cheek.
And he was thankful he'd come back and run into Audrey. That he was friends with him in the first place. He hadn't ever been so content, he hadn't ever really been able to act like himself like he did around his younger counterpart. He was happy, for once.

His mind briefly tuned into the barking and scratching downstairs, feeling a little sorry for the dogs, but Kyou was a nice distraction from the noise. The blonde focused back on the bandages wrapped around his shoulder and side, where his hand still rested gently and he smiled softly at the other's reply. Last night was an amazing sleep for them both it seemed, and Audrey had no complaints about sleeping over more often; just think of how much better it'd be if they actually did something.
Audrey had reached up to give the brunette a quick kiss but hadn't expected for it to turn into something more. No doubt his blush remained, but the blonde wasn't so shy anymore at this point. It'd been way too long since he got this far with anyone. Eyes fluttering shut, his lips set a slower, more sensual pace for them, sliding an arm around the other's waist while his other hand reached for unruly, wet locks. Slender fingers combed through them and suddenly held a fistful in a gentle hold, slightly tilting his head to urge the kiss to deepen, to urge for a lot more than that to happen.
