[/color]gracious: - seriously, it would be surprising to see a mean bone in his body. he's quite the polite guy and he always has kind words to say. it only so happens that his family just taught him up to this. he really has a hard time saying anything rude or bashful as he feels like it would compare him down to those who would do such things. blake actually feels quite high in his seat when he does something good or helps another person... as it makes him happy as well. he sees doing something rude or depressing just makes another person and him feel bad. it might be a bit selfish if one thinks about it.
&devoted: - when he says he's going to do something... he's gonna do it no matter how hard it is. he is usually devoted to his work, but it also works with family and friends as well. there isn't a moment where he doesn't seem devoted. it could be as simple as drinking a whole bottle of beer or getting through the day without running into trouble... whatever it is, he'll keep to it.
&dependable: - he really doesn't know how not to be dependable. his family taught him the ways of being a businessman and the fact that it was important to hold the secrets of the company... or even a friend. he's a shoulder to lean on and he really doesn't mind being depended on. though, if anyone gives him to much... there are chances he could just snap.
&laid-back: - humorless, serious, and a workaholic... no one would really expect for that kind of person to be a laid-back guy. nope, but Blake really is a laid-back guy who goes with the flow more then anything else. he doesn't really see why he should stress over things when it comes to simple matters. so, the best word to describe it is laid-back.
&tolerant: - he pretty much could careless what people are doing or what people are into... he's quite the tolerate person. blake doesn't really pull into anything which keeps him out of most of people's business, but he doesn't mind what people talk about... as long as they are talking. other than that, he can tolerant almost anyone even if he really doesn't like them on the inside.

[/color]humorless: - he's serious for sure... which caused him to be quite humorless. when it comes to jokes, he usually doesn't understand them. or if anyone laughs at something he said, he probably wouldn't understand why. though, blake might be humorless... he seems to say things that end up with people laughing, which only ends up with confusion. he has a strange sense of what is funny and what isn't... which might actually be why he seems so humorless.
&clueless: - going along with the humorless part... he won't understand something unless they actually come out and say it to him. though, he usually will push a bit when it comes to some subjects, but he's clueless especially when it comes to other people's emotions. he seriously won't understand unless it has something to do with depression or what not.
&workaholic: - well, he says he doesn't have anything other than work to really do... but he loves working which ends up in him being a super workaholic. he'd rather be working then hanging out with friends (probably why he doesn't have many). plus, since he's so devoted... that doesn't help much with his workaholic personality.
&selfish: - he is pretty selfish when it comes to a lot of things. blake's kind to people only because it makes him feel better... not because of other people. he would rather careless about others. surprisingly enough, he can actually be quite selfish when it comes to those he loves or carries close to his heart even. he seems to like to get his way, but really doesn't admit it.
&envious: - blake usually envies people who have others close to them or even those who have grandmothers as he lost his... and they were quite close. he usually does his 'envying' in private and rarely rants about it, but there are times when he does rant about it with close friends of his.

[/b] he hates being called Balthier and always goes by Blake. there are very few people who even know of his real name which is why many just think that 'Blake' is his given name.
roses: when he was younger, he was close to his grandmother and she had a love of roses. now, he has taken up a love of them after her. they actually remind him of his beloved grandmother who passed away recently. he even has a rose garden at home.
job wise: he lived in England until there was a job offer from a popular weather channel in Italy... so he moved here for the job. he only does the weather in really late or early in the morning. which makes up for his sleeping pattern being off.
