He was shirking his duties, if you called "shirking" being kicked out of the kitchen for stumbling into the cook and bumping them face-first into the stew that they'd been preparing for who-knows-who. At least it had been cooled; their face would only be red and blotchy for a few days, as apposed to scalded and burned for the rest of their life. He'd tried to apologize, but he'd gotten a pan thrown at his head for the trouble, so Calvic had thought it would be best to get as far from the grumpy people as he possibly could.
The garden probably wasn't the farthest he could get, but it was a nice night, with a full moon shining over his head and reflecting off the light dusting of snow covering the path. Calvic soon found himself sitting on the ground in front of a bench, his knees drawn up with his journal propped on them while he wrote quietly. It was a bad habit he'd picked up somewhere, preferring the ground to furniture, but he was still convinced it was somehow more comfortable. Not even Calvic could figure out why.
Shifting in his unconventional seat, he frowned thoughtfully, tilting his head back to stare at the moon for a moment as if it would solve all his problems. He couldn't hear anyone moving within the garden, but that didn't mean anything; he was half-expecting someone to jump out and send him off to work again any second. Free time was limited, he'd discovered, and as much as he loved most of his chores, some of them he could really do without. He half-wished he hadn't caused such trouble in the kitchen, thinking maybe he would be allowed to go back and help, but the last thing he needed to do was trip and spill hot food all over someone else. With his luck it would happen; it was best to stay out here for a while.

Through the stillness of the night, the evident sound of bells jostling every which way could be heard. Accompanying this musical sound was the soft hum of a wooden pipe, steadily remaining at one sound volume, though continued at a fast-paced and even merry tune.
Cosmin was technically supposed to be doing his usual rounds of cleaning up after his lady, and naturally watching over her, and technically he was supposed to have thrown away his "ratty old Halloween costume" in favour of the constricting and dull, mandatory uniform.
But what could he say? It was in his blood to rebel against rules.
So in the garden the boy resided, effortlessly puffing air into a wooden instrument, fingers dancing elegantly along its length and forcing the wind inside to escape through different holes and emit different sounds. The curl of his slippers flicked every few beats, adding a rhythm to the otherwise random music. The constant sway of Cosmin's hips also contributed to the ensemble of music as he walked without a destination through a collection of colourful flowers and bushes.
It wasn't long until the sight of a young boy greeted the gypsy's eyes. He was curled up before a bench, knees drawn to his chest and fingers furiously working with a pen on a notebook. Typically, Cosmin wasn't one to disrupt a child writing, but he was feeling reckless this night, as was obvious by his choice of clothing.
By now the boy had undoubtedly heard his song, so the blonde felt no need to silence himself immediately. Approaching the brunette, Cosmin ended his improvised tune on a particularly long, high note before lowering the mouth piece from his lips. A quirked smile tugged at his mouth, eyes sparkling with undisguised mischief.
"Bonsoir, Jeune garcon," the Roma greeted, his accent thick with its native language, "What brings you out during the night?" --- Word Count: 334 Outfit: Not gonna lie~ He was based entirely loosely on Clopin. "The QUEEN of Hearts Who made some tarts Washed them off away!~
Off their heads I say!" Another one of her days again as a student. She was reading novels when she got bored, her mind flustered on to something that peculiar, plus the work of the mafia she was holding. This brunette is a boss that cannot be disturbed further without even further ado, as she would grimace on the pages of the book, while having mixed thoughts for the matter. She is not on insane mode yet, but it was odd that she was really coursing on to something. Letting out a small sigh as she would waver, Nello stood up from her seat to see the moon shining back there, and definitely intriguing. Her crimson eyes glowed in the sight, as she whistles for a moment to settle a bookmark on her novel.
The brunette walked down the dorm, where the students(the citizen type) were located. She came out of her room, without any sounds. The ladies and the other students are sleeping and the others might do something that they certainly want to, as Nello continues to walk down. She pauses on the dorm's door, while she would mischievously pull the doorknob and sneak out of the room. Blunt and cunning as a fox, the brunette smiled as she skips herself towards the main entrance of the Academy, where she could observe the bright full moon.
"Haa, what a sight...~" She breathes a bit as she would hear the silence and the look of the gate so nice specifically in the night. It is indeed one that looks like glamor, decorated by a fine artist to make it a work of art. It was certainly interesting but it would go better if the place was painted red. That's what Nello wanted, but she has her limits.
While she would walk diligently while humming like a kid in the garden, she stopped when she spotted two people. Well, one was a butler, she could tell, for she had several butler friends and the kind. But the other one, who was dressed differently, she cannot tell what was he. She smiles as she would see the scene, it was like one of those pictures she sees in the novels and the thick books. Was this a play of Hunchback or was this a play of the Three Musketeers? The brunette hid herself slowly just to see that part, quite interested. Calvic had just consciously noticed the music in the air when it stopped, forcing him to lift his head and see why--he rather wished it hadn't. The thick words made him blink and he closed his book, carefully pushing himself up off the ground and smiling somewhat sheepishly. Here came the "get back to work" he'd been waiting for. His smile turned into a bit of a grin at the question and he pointed up, tilting his head back to gaze at the sky.
"The moon. It's beautiful tonight, isn't it? It's only a pity it's not raining." He smiled, turning back to study the strange costume his companion wore. He was sure he'd heard of something similar before, from one of his "grandfather's" many stories, but he was having trouble remembering. Bright colors distracted him that way sometimes. So did bells; the man was a big ball of distraction right now, but that was alright because Calvic was pretty sure now that he wasn't there to send him back to work. He seemed to be shirking, too. "I'm Calvic." He brought a hand up to the back of his head, trying to stop staring--it was hard. He'd never seen anyone dressed like that, only imagined them from his grandpa's--gypsy stories!
"You're a gypsy, right?" He asked, grinning again and hoping he'd gotten it right--he'd always thought he twisted the descriptions strangely to come out with an outfit like that, but maybe he wasn't as crazy as he'd thought. His eyes caught something red behind the other man, blinking as he leaned to one side to see--nothing. He hadn't seen any cats around, but maybe there was one. Or he really was crazy. Returning his gaze to the other man, he smiled, shaking off his paranoia. Like someone would really come out here just to spy on them, even if the other man's outfit was stare-worthy. He was proof; he still couldn't stop. He was beginning to think he would need to smack himself.

"The moon. It's beautiful tonight, isn't it? It's only a pity it's not raining."
Cosmin could agree with this. Because of the academy being somewhat detached from the bustling city of Milan, the nighttime sky wasn't a rare spectacle to behold. Indeed, Cosmin himself was prone to gazing at the moon late at night. It signified freedom in a sense, as it was unreachable. True, man had already launched many space programs to come into physical reach of it.. But who could honestly own something so infinite and natural?
"Ah, oui oui," the blonde agreed, a lopsided grin taking hold of his lips, "The sky draws many to her beauty, especially when she's a dark mistress." Speaking with a variety of metaphorical phrases was a favourite of Cosmin's, as he couldn't deny he enjoyed, if only slightly, toying with someone's head. In this case it didn't seem entirely necessary however, as the boy was obviously a butler and, as experience has shown, they don't usually carry many profitable items on their person. Usually he could swoon a man or woman close enough to slip his hands into their pockets, but here it might not even be worth it.
But Cosmin always did love pleasant surprises.
Gazing at the boy's face briefly, the gypsy noted that his attention was directed to somewhere behind his back. Glancing in that direction for a few moments, Cosmin wasn't able to detect anything out of the ordinary and shrugged it off.
"You're a gypsy, right?"
This blatant, and even somewhat rude statement shocked the blonde slightly. He didn't allow this to show however, and continued presenting a silly grin to the brunette.
"Gypsy is a derogatory term, mon ami," he scolded gently, a reaching out to lay gently on his shoulder and rub soothingly, "A Roma is the correct word, but oui. At least, I was one. I've renounced such despicable ways in favour of, how you say, a respectable career." The words were lies to Cosmin's ears, and he felt a small pang denying his own heritage, but for the sake of theft and covering for himself, lies were a necessity.
"I still can't help it that performing is a passion of mine though, I'm afraid," he continued, raising the hand that held the pipe slightly, "How I do enjoy my music." --- Word Count: 398 Comments: He's a pesky thief, but he's just so pretty who can deny him? ;3 [/blockquote][/color]

"The QUEEN of Hearts Who made some tarts Washed them off away!~
Off their heads I say!" The butler and the gypsy, she would assume herself. She would like to see them do the talking and the rest while she would think that they were doing a stage act or something that is part of a book. This woman was not a book worm but she was productive and indeed very updated with such types of stories herself. She loves these stories and all, specially when it would come in to reality. But her thoughts were completely insane, that's why she would keep it to herself. Now while she would observe and smile, she notices this butler with the stare. He smiled. But she did not. She was blank and bright for the night. Did he saw her? or was it something that she was imagining again?
But because of such an utter, the brunette crossed her stakes of fingers and then accidentally falls off on the bush. Her head tilted a bit as she would shake, and then her cover was out."Ouch, Ouch...!", the woman says while she would rub her head and continue to stiff up. It hurts too, imagining that you fell over losing your balance because of wild imagination or some adrenaline that placed you there. It was funny for the others, or somewhat a clumsy utter for the rest. Nello was quite confused for the moment specifically the stare. Isn't he talking to the gypsy man awhile ago? And now she is there with her butt on the floor, while she would slowly stand up with her diligent red devil boots thumping. It was the common noise it would make.
Just like what she says. She blew her cover, or her personal watch. She was suppose to be the audience of the scene, in her opinion. But now, still thinking that it was a stage play or a practice at night, she would stand up and apologize finely with the manner. She does not want to annoy the people in the garden nor have a small reaction because of her act of clumsiness and the thing that would make her as a stalker, or a spy. She was thought to be a feline or a cunning fox that would slack around without someone noticing, but now she was caught. And what an embarrassment for her indeed."I apologize for disturbing you in this performance, I was just curious of your certain play.". Her innocence would show up in her face, and her lain look in the eyes would tell them. She sees the butler and the other, with a sorry look and one red speechless face. Calvic grinned, nodding in agreement as he found himself enjoying the cryptic way the other man spoke. It made him use his brain in a way he wasn't quite used to. It confused him for a few moments, but there was something almost poetic about it--a rhythm under the words.
His own bright smile dropped from his face almost as soon as the words were said, his eyes widening slightly. "Oh, sorry! That's just what my grandfather called Roma. I guess now I know why he didn't like me asking him for their stories." He tilted his head, far away for a moment as he remembered the disapproving look on his grandfather's face, now connected to him purposefully using a derogatory term when he agreed. That didn't happen unless he really didn't like someone, and Calvic still couldn't quite see why.
He returned his gaze to his companion, frowning slightly and ignoring the hand on his shoulder; it didn't matter to him even subconsciously if the blond man touched him. "And, I'm sorry if I'm being rude again, but how is honoring your heritage despicable? It's not like you're a murderer or a thief or anything." It wasn't even an option, in Calvic's mind. The older man could come right out and say he was one of those things and Calvic would actually forget by the next day, because it couldn't possibly be true. He had a tendency to forget lies--or what he wanted to be lies--very easily.
His grin returned as the other man continued, his eyes turning to study the pipe interestedly. "You're very good at it. I was kind of disappointed when you stopped." He admitted shamelessly, reaching up to rub his head again. He was not-so-subtly hinting that he would love it if the other male decided he felt like playing another tune, but he knew it was rude to come right out and ask, and he'd been rude enough for one night.
His eyes were once again caught by a flash of red, this time accompanied by hurt sounds and a woman tumbling out of the bushes. Calvic blinked uncertainly, knowing it wasn't a Lady--probably one of the civilian students. What was she doing out here? As she straightened herself out and apologized, he was only left more confused, raising his hand a little. "What play do you mean?" He asked curiously, wondering if the other man had a better idea of what she was talking about than he did.

Cosmin smiled in a friendly manner, shaking his head.
"Il fait beau," he stated, giving a slow shake of his head, "These things do happen, my friend." It wasn't as if the blonde hadn't been subjected to worse, anyway. People were never exactly friendly to foreigners, let alone thieves. Cosmin had been threatened many times, attempted to be attacked, and called worse things than "gypsy".
"And, I'm sorry if I'm being rude again, but how is honoring your heritage despicable?"
That was a question the Roma wished he could answer honestly. He felt an immense amount of pride for his family and where he came from. True, the last few generations had been pure French, hence his lighter skin, but he had many ancestors who still held close their Romanian blood. As such, Cosmin himself embraced everything that his family does. But for now..Now was the time to shove any sentimentality down and lie through a wicked grin. If he was good at anything, after all, it was denying the truth.
"It's not like you're a murderer or a thief or anything."
Cosmin actually let out a surprised laugh at this. That such naivety still exists in the world was a curse and blessing indeed.
"Oui, mon ami, oui," he replied, shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter, "I am no thief, and I am no murderer." It was actually more fun when it was easy. "Just a butler from a cruel background, pour etre honnete."
"You're very good at it. I was kind of disappointed when you stopped."
Such a charming boy, he was. The gypsy couldn't remember the last time he had come across someone so utterly sweet. It was endearing to say the least.
"Merci," he replied, fingers stroking the shoulder beneath them once again, "It's nice to hear such compliments. I rarely have the time to practice, so I feared I was growing a bit rusty. You know--"
Whatever Cosmin was going to say was lost as a small crash followed by a pained sound was heard behind him. Whirling around with a start, eyes searching the dark bush behind him. A glimpse of red and movement was all it took before he hurried towards the fallen girl. Approaching her, he watched as she steadily got to her feet, and brushed off her clothes before speaking.
"I apologize for disturbing you in this performance, I was just curious of your certain play."
Blinking owlishly for a moment, the blonde regained his senses quickly and gave a confused smile.
"Mademoiselle, I'm afraid you're mistaken," he explained, casting an amused glance back at the brunette boy, "This is an unexpected gathering of sorts, vous voyez, no play." Opening his mouth in slight surprise, Cosmin straightened his spine and quickly plucked the hat from atop his head.
"I am Cosmin Viorel Luminitsa, d'ailleurs," he recited, glancing at the boy as well, "Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner." Holding out a hand to the redheaded woman before him, the Roma offered a hand gracefully, palm up. "Would you like to join us in conversation, ma dame ami?"

"The QUEEN of Hearts Who made some tarts Washed them off away!~
Off their heads I say!" Ok.Now she really had no idea. Nello was confused for the moment, apparently appalled with the two men's certain reactions. It must have been very embarrassing twice, thinking of it as a stage play since the other gypsy guy was dressed in to something really suitable for a stage play. Blinking her eyes for the matter while gazing at both, she blushed red of embarrassment. Thinking of it as a stage play in the night says so. It must have been because she was reading a lot and telling or even relating these stories to the others. If they weren't on a stage play, why are they wearing odd and peculiar-looking clothes? And he even looks formal with the gesture. Now things are getting too interesting enough.
Nello gave another utter as she would glance at the first guy(the butler)."Aye~ don't mind me I mean I mean...ughhh~..." She's always like that when she faces trouble even at mafia affairs. However it is often used for cover, and she was still young to begin with. She has different actions twards people technically things that she would think as chess pieces. This brunette plays every character in her own stage, just like a governing Queen or a King would do.Because of her mind being fluctuated for the moment, she gazes back at the gypsy guy and would do a formal bow. She is not that rude to tell her name specifically towards someone who introduced himself or herself in front of her with the formality. She places her left hand on her chest and does a polite bow, just like meeting other bosses around the mafia galore. It was a sign of respect giving respect and handling the same thing.
"Ah, ore was Serumieru Coronero Di Zi Vamschierru" (Ah my name is Seloumierre Colonnello Di Zi Vamschier), yuroshiku onegai shimasu yo.(Pleasure is mine to meet a fine man like you)."Nello is not a Japanese but being in Tokyo more often told her a lot of things. And the blonde man by the name of Cosmin was fair enough in her approach as she would pick a smile in her red lips, while a small glance he'll do with the butler. She was speechless of the matter because of what happened earlier, as she would nod to Cosmin after offering a hand. She placed her right hand over his as she would cast an innocent look of appreciation."Well may I?",the brunette says with a friendly approach herself.
She continues to face back to the butler with a brow raised. She was also curious why he was out of the place since it was already night and the moon was dimly shining at the night sky. It was a beautiful display, while she would observe the other guy and ask in a curious manner."And also~ why is a Butler still out late night in our Academy, hm?" Calvic followed the older man over to the woman, unsure what he should do and deciding to simply stand to one side and try not to get in the way. His eyes flicked between the two nervously, offering a weak grin when Cosmin looked back at him. He tended to be even more clumsy around girls, mostly because they glared at him--kind of what Seloumierre was doing, but with more annoyance behind it. He offered an encouraging grin as she stumbled over her words a bit, seeming embarrassed she'd fallen out of her hiding place--he would be, too, except he usually didn't hide in bushes. He wondered if it was fun, and that was why she did it.
It took him a moment to decipher her words, since he wasn't the best at languages, before giving his own little bow. "Calvic Hunter Gordal, at your service." He straightened after a moment, rubbing the back of his head again. He offered a bright smile at her question, but did little else; it wasn't his place to withdraw Cosmin's offer, and he didn't mind her joining them, anyway. It wasn't like she could make the meeting less fun, with what he assumed to be her hobby. The watchful gaze just made him fidgety, but what didn't these days? When someone messed up as much as he did they tended to do that.
He turned red as she voiced the reason she'd been staring, his eyes quickly darting away to stare into the bushes. "Oh, ah...I may have accidentally pushed the cook into the stew...so I'm kind of hiding." He admitted sheepishly, scuffing his shoe on the grass and glancing toward the building reflexively, as if the very mention of the incident would have someone coming out to punish him. But there was no commotion inside; he bet everyone was asleep by now, and they'd forget about it until tomorrow morning.
He peered back at his companions, grinning a little as he relaxed around the red-clad woman. Really, it didn't seem like there was much to be nervous about out here. It was a fun meeting under the moon--still a pity it wasn't raining but you couldn't always have what you wanted. He settled his gaze on Seloumierre, curious and ready to once more dive into a stupid situation. "So...is hiding in bushes fun? I've never tried it before. The attic was always my best bet." His siblings wouldn't look for him in the attic, because they thought there was a monster up there--no thanks to him stomping around and snarling at the door, of course. Calvic would have done anything to get back at his siblings, right up until he realized they left "grandpa" alone.
Word Count: 456 Comments: <3 I adore Cosmin, he's so mischievous, hehe. And Seloumierre gives me perma-grin. xD
